Aldan project

In Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) the gold mining company CJCS "GDK "Aldgold" registered in 1997 has been exploiting Bolshoy Kuranah river deep deposits near Aldan city since 1998.

Sand extraction is carried out with the help of 250-l multi-bucket drag which allows developing the deposit up to 15 m deep and rotating excavators. Heavy weight bulldozers are used at peat stripping.

Bolshoy Kuranah river gold of industrial category deep deposits ratified geological stocks make 77 ton.

Gold annual extraction at the deposit makes 400-500 kg at the annual average processing of 1600-1800 thousand m³.

The deposit development project presupposes the program of increasing the amount of extracted gold at Bolshoy Kuranah river deep deposits with CJCS mining plant "Aldgold" acting concentrating equipment modernization and introduction of new capacities that allow increasing the gold production up to 2 ton per year with the exploitation term not less than 20 years.

Within the framework of the first stage they commissioned 250-l drag (with the bucket capable to go 15 m deep) in August of 2006 and extracted the first gold. For the mining works organization at the site they bought, assembled and commissioned the first stepping excavator. The expected gold extracting additional annual increase makes 220 kg.

The second stage (2007-2008) presupposes modernization of the concentrating plans located on the board of the drifting drags. The gold extraction additional annual increase will make about 150 kg.

The third stage (2008-2009) presupposes solving certain technological tasks - providing the possibility to use the technologies that allow developing the deposit deeper parts, i.e. the possibility to organize extra-deep bucketing with the minimal exploitation costs.

This stage realization will allow bringing the company to a principally new level of gold production but at the same time is the most capital demanding and requires serious technical working over. The planned gold extraction additional annual increase will make 1100-1200 kg.

The enterprise has all necessary allowing documents for carrying out mining and exploring works, including the registered mining and land allotments. The license is registered on August 25, 1997 and is valid for 15 years till August of 2012. According to the license agreement the license validity period may be prolonged on the bowl user initiative.
